It's not a syntax bug, it's a syntax error. Idk about Python, but in C, if you've skipped a terminator symbol that's just it - you have not terminated your line, and now your syntax makes no sense to the compiler. The compiler does not know that you've skipped a semicolon; it knows it can't compile a line of code. And that's a best case scenario. If your syntax still makes sense to the compiler, and your code compiles, you'll spend a lot more time finding out what exactly went wrong.
